John Ward is a painter living and working in the High Peak, Derbyshire.  He has exhibited in exhibitions around the country including Manchester, Salford, Liverpool, Derby and London.

John has had work purchased by a number of galleries as well as by private individuals in the U.K.; Canda; Germany; Norway and the Middle East.  He has also been awarded a number of medals by Derbyshire County Council who run the Derbyshire Open Art Exhibition.  These include: The Dracca Trophy in 1995; the Oil Painting Prize in 1996 and 2009 as well as commendations in 1988 & 1994.

 

In  2001 John was presented with a commemorative plaque by the Consul of Pakistan in Manchester, Mr Jamil Ahmad, following John`s exhibition of paintings of Pakistan, first at Stockport Art Gallery and then by special request at Karim`s restaurant on Mr Ahmad`s promotion and therefore move from the U.K..
